At Pasture House Holiday Cottages, we know how important your holiday is to you, and understand you have a lot of boxes to tick. Pasture House, our beautiful six-bedroom manor set in picturesque East Yorkshire farmland, offers everything you could possibly want for your perfect rural escape.
As soon as you swing open the front door, you can see this house is something special as you’re greeted by the sight of a hand-crafted wooden staircase, sweeping up to the first floor. The ground floor boasts wood-effect floor tiles with underfloor heating, and the entrance (with automatic lighting) leads towards the well-appointed kitchen, with adjoining sun room; spacious living room; utility (with washing machine and a tumble drier), and a cloakroom.
Blending contemporary and traditional touches with its grey units, pale quartz worktops, state-of-the-art appliances and central island, this space is more than just somewhere to cook, it’s the perfect spot to chat with friends and family, prepare a leisurely breakfast, grab a late-night snack, or just warm your hands by the fire.
Equipped with all your cooking and eating essentials, there’s everything you need to feed up to sixteen hungry mouths. In pride of place is a large double-sided wood-burner set in a brick chimney breast, on the other side of which is the sun room…
With its huge windows and high ceiling, this superb dining area adjoins the kitchen and features roll-back leather chairs for up to sixteen people around a long wooden table. By day the room is flooded with light, and after dark you can appreciate the unique ceiling light made from a seed drill wheel that was originally used on the farm. Patio doors lead straight out onto your private garden.
This light and airy space (nearly 37sq m) is ideal for big groups, with enough seating – a combination of inviting Chesterfield sofas, chairs, and bar stools – for up to sixteen people. The log burner keeps everyone toasty, the arched windows offer expansive views across the fields, and the large smart TV can provide music and entertainment, while the marble-topped bar area includes its own fridge, freezer, wine rack and glassware.
All bedrooms feature high spec fittings, with luxurious bed linen, towels and toiletries, and elegant décor befitting the ‘manor house’ style. All rooms possess large mirrors, dressing tables, carefully chosen touches for your comfort including lamps and chairs, built-in or freestanding storage space for clothing and other belongings, hairdryers, and en-suite bathrooms.
Every room has its own individual colour scheme, style, and bespoke furnishings. Each one can be set up as a superking or twin for two people, depending on your preference. All offer supreme comfort, and a wonderful retreat to simply sleep or enjoy some downtime.
This ground-floor bedroom is wheelchair-friendly, and it’s also the only bedroom with its own TV. The shower contains a seat and grab rails, and the tiled wood-effect floor is
underfloor heated. The calming green tones lend the bedroom a peaceful air, and the windows offer a wonderful view of the fields beyond the house.
(first floor) – this huge (22sq m) room offers a delightful sanctuary, with its deep turquoise colour scheme and bold feature wall. The en-suite has a double vanity unit, with separate shower and bath, two stunning cherrywood wardrobes providing ample space for clothing.
(first floor) – pale grey paint and a dark blue statement wall lend this large room a chic vibe, and this is continued through the chaise longue, walk-in wardrobe, and perhaps the ultimate decadence – a freestanding slipper bath in the bedroom. The en-suite includes a double vanity unit and shower, while the window provides lovely views over the garden and fields beyond.
(first floor) – country cream colours and a pretty patterned feature wall create a comforting cocoon, and a walk-in wardrobe offers lots of room for your belongings. The star of the show here is the enormous en suite with its grand freestanding bath, separate shower and double vanity unit. Two sash windows look over fields to the front of the house.
(second floor) – with warm honey tones, Velux window, hand-made shelves and hanging rail, and en-suite with shower and single basin, this room offers a cosy and quiet retreat.
(second floor) – very similar features to Oak with en-suite and Velux window but sporting a sophisticated deep grey colour scheme, you’re guaranteed a peaceful nights sleep tucked away on the top floor of the house.
As a Pasture House holidaymaker, you’ll enjoy a huge, private outdoor space to the rear of the property. This enclosed garden features a large grassed lawn, paved patio, furniture to seat up to sixteen people, sun loungers, bicycle racks, a charcoal barbecue, wood-fired pizza oven, and two large hot tubs to accommodate up to twelve people.
There’s also an impressive oak-fronted structure to give shelter if you’d like to move your furniture under cover. You can continue using this outdoor space after dark too thanks to all the atmospheric lanterns and a floodlight. Access is via the property’s back door and a gate from the parking area.

This project has delivered two five star luxury holiday homes with the highest level gold award. It has enabled the replacement of a derelict farmhouse with Pasture House - a three storey, six bedroom main house, all en-suite and further enabled the renovation of The Stables which is a single storey two bedroom, again both are en-suite. Both properties have green credentials, disabled access and provide numerous part time roles as well as bringing tourists into the local area throughout the year.
