The perfect place for a multi-generational family holiday

Sarah Dean • March 8, 2023

Does your family consist of two or three, or even four generations and you're looking for somewhere to all stay together? We think this could be the place for you to make memories and relax whilst enjoying the Yorkshire countryside.

Pasture House and The Stables sleep 16 across the two properties, 12 and 4 respectively. There are 8 ensuite bedrooms that can all be made up as Twins or Superkings, so very flexible for any kind of family structure. Pasture House can dine all 16 people in the dining room or outside on the patio and there is plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware.
If the older generation would like to have their own space in The Stables, then they are a stones throw away from Pasture House.

On the Ground Floor in Pasture House there is an ensuite bedroom, Willow, that can be made up as a Twin or Superking, perhaps for those less mobile in your family. The whole of the Ground Floor has level access and in the Willow ensuite, there is a pull down leaver, grab rails, a lower vanity unit and a shower seat. In the bedroom there are lower shelves and hanging space and it is tiled throughout, the rugs can be taken away if we know someone in a wheelchair is coming. Also in Pasture House kitchen, there is a lower section of work top without any drawers underneath, so those in a wheelchair have their own food preparation surface. One of the two coffee machines, kettles and toasters can be moved onto this surface so independence can be achieved for making food and drink.

In The Stables, it is all on the Ground Floor and tiled, so accessible throughout. Similarly the bathrooms have grab rails, a pull down leaver and shower seat.

N.B. Please see our Accessibility Guides on each properties page for more detailed information and photos.

Whether you're looking to relax in the hot tubs with the lovely views, have a dinner party, use the BBQ and Pizza Oven and dine al fresco, light the log burner and have a cosy night in, use the bar area to make some cocktails to celebrate. The choice is yours however you wish to spend your time with your family.

March marks the gentle shift from winter to spring, bringing lighter days, fresh countryside views, and a renewed sense of energy. It’s a quieter, often overlooked month for a break — which makes it especially appealing for guests who enjoy calm surroundings and unhurried exploring. A stay at Pasture House Holiday Cottages, just outside Beverley, offers the perfect base for enjoying East Yorkshire as it begins to wake up for spring. Longer Days and a Fresh Feel to the Countryside One of the most noticeable changes in March is the return of longer daylight hours. Mornings feel brighter, evenings stretch out, and time outdoors becomes more inviting. The countryside around Beverley starts to show early signs of spring, with fresh greenery and the first hints of seasonal colour. It’s an ideal time for gentle walks and relaxed days out without the intensity of peak season.
